Definition
A Negative Sentence is a sentence that denies, rejects, or shows the absence of something.
It tells that something is not true or not happening.
These sentences always use negative words such as not, never, no, nothing, none, nobody, etc.
In short:
A Negative Sentence expresses a negative meaning or denial of a statement.
परिभाषा
Negative Sentence (नकारात्मक वाक्य) वह वाक्य होता है जो किसी बात का इंकार (इंकार करना), अस्वीकार या अभाव प्रकट करता है।
ऐसे वाक्य बताते हैं कि कोई कार्य नहीं हो रहा है या सत्य नहीं है।
इन वाक्यों में हमेशा नकारात्मक शब्द जैसे not, never, no, nothing, none, nobody आदि का प्रयोग किया जाता है।
Examples:
1. I do not like tea.
मुझे चाय पसंद नहीं है।
2. She is not a doctor.
वह डॉक्टर नहीं है।
3. They are not playing football.
वे फुटबॉल नहीं खेल रहे हैं।
4. He does not go to school.
वह स्कूल नहीं जाता है।
5. We will not watch TV today.
हम आज टीवी नहीं देखेंगे।
6. You were not late.
तुम देर से नहीं थे।
7. It is not raining.
बारिश नहीं हो रही है।
8. He has not finished his work.
उसने अपना काम पूरा नहीं किया है।
9. They cannot drive a car.
वे कार नहीं चला सकते।
10. I did not meet him yesterday.
मैं कल उससे नहीं मिला।
उपयुक्त दिए गए उदाहरणों में सभी उदाहरण में “नहीं” “Not” का प्रयोग हुआ है। अर्थात ये सभी वाक्य नकारात्मक वाक्य (Negative Sentences) कहलाते हैं।

नकारात्मक वाक्य बनाने के नियम
नकारात्मक वाक्य बनाने के लिये हमें नियमों (Rules) का पालन करना अनिवार्य है।इसमें हम नकारात्मक वाक्य बनाना सीखेंगे इन नियमों के आधार पर नकारात्मक वाक्य को समझना आसान होगा। यह सभी नियम अलग - अलग Tense के Rule पर आधारित है। नीचे दिए गए सभी Rules को ध्यान से पढ़ें और सीखें।
नकारात्मक वाक्य का प्रयोग कब, कहाँ और कैसे तथा किस प्रकार किया जाएगा? यहाँ सभी नियमों द्वारा पूर्ण रूप से बताया गया है। सभी नियमों को ध्यानपूर्वक पढ़ें, जिससे आपको आसानी से समझ आएगा।
Rule 1:
यह formula तब उपयोग होता है जब वाक्य में helping verb (is, am, are, was, were, do, does, did, will, shall, etc.) मौजूद हो।
अगर helping verb नहीं है, तो हम do / does / did का प्रयोग करते हैं।
Negative Sentence (नकारात्मक वाक्य) बनाने के लिए Helping Verb के बाद not लगाया जाता है।
अगर किसी वाक्य में Helping Verb नहीं होती, तो do / does / did का प्रयोग किया जाता है।
Examples:
1. I am not a student.
मैं विद्यार्थी नहीं हूँ।
2. She is not playing.
वह खेल नहीं रही है।
3. They are not coming to school.
वे स्कूल नहीं आ रहे हैं।
4. He does not like mangoes.
उसे आम पसंद नहीं हैं।
5. You are not late today.
तुम आज देर से नहीं हो
6. I was not tired.
मैं थका नहीं था।
7. They were not at home.
वे घर पर नहीं थे।
8. We were not watching the movie.
हम फिल्म नहीं देख रहे थे।
9. It was not raining yesterday.
कल बारिश नहीं हो रही
Rule 2: Modal Helping Verb (Can, may, must, should etc.)
जब हम किसी वाक्य में Modal Auxiliary Verb का प्रयोग करते हैं तो उसके बाद Not जोड़कर उसे नकारात्मक बना देते हैं।
Examples:
1. I cannot swim.
मैं तैर नहीं सकता।
2. You should not lie.
तुम्हें झूठ नहीं बोलना चाहिए।
3. He may not come today.
वह आज नहीं आ सकता।
4. We must not waste time.
हमें समय बर्बाद नहीं करना चाहिए।
5. They could not solve the problem.
वे समस्या हल नहीं कर सके।

अब हम इम्पोर्टेन्ट Tense के नियमों पर जाते हैं जहाँ हम आपको नकारात्मक वाक्य को Tense के अनुसार कैसे? वाक्य प्रयोग किया जाएगा, यह बताया गया है।
Rule 1: Present Indefinite Tense – Negative Sentences
नकारात्मक वाक्य बनाने के लिए, यह रूल ध्यान में रखते हुए नीचे दिए गए उदाहरणों को समझे और सीखें।
Examples:
1. I do not like tea.
मुझे चाय पसंद नहीं है।
2. She does not play football.
वह फुटबॉल नहीं खेलती है।
3. We do not study English.
हम अंग्रेज़ी नहीं पढ़ते हैं।
4. He does not go to school.
वह स्कूल नहीं जाती है।
5. He does not read books.
वह किताबें नहीं पढ़ता है।
6. We do not watch TV at night.
हम रात में टीवी नहीं देखते हैं।
7. You do not speak loudly.
तुम ज़ोर से नहीं बोलते हो।
8. It does not rain here.
यहाँ बारिश नहीं होती है।
9. My brother does not study daily.
मेरा भाई रोज़ नहीं पढ़ता है।
10. I do not eat junk food.
मैं जंक फूड नहीं खाता हूँ।
Rule 2 : Present Continuous Tense – Negative Sentences
नकारात्मक वाक्य बनाने के लिए, यहाँ रूल ध्यान में रखते हुए नीचे दिए गए उदाहरणों को समझे और सीखें।
Examples:
1. I am not watching TV.
मैं टीवी नहीं देख रहा हूँ।
2. She is not cooking food.
वह खाना नहीं बना रही है।
3. They are not playing cricket.
वे क्रिकेट नहीं खेल रहे हैं।
4. I am not reading a book.
मैं किताब नहीं पढ़ रहा हूँ।
5. We are not going to school.
हम स्कूल नहीं जा रहे हैं।
6. You are not doing your homework.
तुम अपना होमवर्क नहीं कर रहे हो।
7. It is not raining outside.
बाहर बारिश नहीं हो रही है।
8. The baby is not sleeping.
बच्चा नहीं सो रहा है।
9. I am not talking to him.
मैं उससे बात नहीं कर रहा हूँ।
10. They are not coming today.
वे आज नहीं आ रहे हैं।
Rule 3: Present Perfect Tense – Negative Sentences
नकारात्मक वाक्य बनाने के लिए, यहाँ रूल ध्यान में रखते हुए नीचे दिए गए उदाहरणों को समझे और सीखें।
Examples:
1. He has not finished homework.
उसने गृहकार्य पूरा नहीं किया है।
2. I have not seen that movie.
मैंने वह फिल्म नहीं देखी है।
3. She has not come yet.
वह अभी तक नहीं आई है।
4. He has not eaten breakfast.
उसने नाश्ता नहीं किया है।
5. We have not met him.
हम उससे नहीं मिले हैं।
6. You have not written the letter.
तुमने वह चिट्ठी नहीं लिखी है।
7. It has not stopped raining.
बारिश अभी तक नहीं रुकी है।
8. My brother has not gone to school.
मेरा भाई स्कूल नहीं गया है।
9. I have not read that book.
मैंने वह किताब नहीं पढ़ी है।
10. They have not completed the project.
उन्होंने प्रोजेक्ट पूरा नहीं किया है।
Rule 4: Present Perfect Continuous Tense -Negative Sentence
यह फॉर्मूला ध्यान में रखते हुए नीचे दिए गए उदाहरणों को ध्यानपूर्वक पढ़ें और सीखें।
Examples:
1. I have not been reading since morning.
मैं सुबह से नहीं पढ़ रहा हूँ।
2. She has not been working for two hours.
वह दो घंटे से काम नहीं कर रही है।
3. She has not been cooking food since morning.
वह सुबह से खाना नहीं बना रही है।
4. They have not been playing cricket for an hour.
वे एक घंटे से क्रिकेट नहीं खेल रहे हैं।
5. He has not been working here since 2020.
वह 2020 से यहाँ काम नहीं कर रहा है।
6. We have not been watching TV for a long time.
हम काफी समय से टीवी नहीं देख रहे हैं।
7. You have not been attending classes regularly.
तुम नियमित रूप से कक्षाओं में शामिल नहीं हो रहे हो।
8. It has not been raining since morning.
सुबह से बारिश नहीं हो रही है।
9. My brother has not been going to school for three days.
मेरा भाई तीन दिनों से स्कूल नहीं जा रहा है।
10. I have not been feeling well for a week.
मैं एक हफ़्ते से ठीक महसूस नहीं कर रहा हूँ।
Rule 5: Simple Past Tense -Negative Sentence
यह फॉर्मूला ध्यान में रखते हुए नीचे दिए गए उदाहरणों को ध्यानपूर्वक पढ़ें और सीखें।
Examples:
1. I did not go to school.
मैं स्कूल नहीं गया।
2. He did not watch the movie.
उसने फिल्म नहीं देखी।
3. She did not eat breakfast.
उसने नाश्ता नहीं किया।
4. They did not play cricket.
उन्होंने क्रिकेट नहीं खेला।
5. We did not study last night.

Rule 6: Past Continuous Tense – Negative Sentence
1. I was not reading a book.
मैं किताब नहीं पढ़ रहा था।
2. They were not dancing.
वे नाच नहीं रहे थे।
3. He was not painting the wall.
वह दीवार नहीं रंग रहा था।
4. They were not dancing at the party.
वे पार्टी में नाच नहीं रहे थे।
5. We were not waiting for the bus.
हम बस का इंतज़ार नहीं कर रहे थे।
6. You were not cleaning your room.
तुम अपना कमरा साफ नहीं कर रहे थे।
7. The teacher was not teaching the class.
अध्यापक कक्षा नहीं पढ़ा रहे थे।
8. It was not shining brightly.
वह तेज़ नहीं चमक रहा था।
9. My parents were not watching TV.
मेरे माता-पिता टीवी नहीं देख रहे थे।
10. The boys were not shouting in the hall.
लड़के हॉल में चिल्ला नहीं रहे थे।

Rule 7: Past Perfect Tense – Negative Sentence

Rule 8: Past Perfect Continuous Tense -Negative Sentence
फॉर्मूला के द्वारा नकारात्मक वाक्यों को बनाना सीखते हैं।
Examples:
1. I had not been studying for two hours.
मैं दो घंटे से नहीं पढ़ रहा था।
2. He had not been sleeping since night.
वह रात से नहीं सो रहा था।
3. I had not been writing a story for many days.
मैं कई दिनों से कहानी नहीं लिख रहा था।
4. She had not been learning English for a month.
वह एक महीने से अंग्रेज़ी नहीं सीख रही थी।
5. He had not been visiting his grandparents for a year.
वह एक साल से अपने दादा-दादी से मिलने नहीं जा रहा था।
6. They had not been studying seriously for the exam.
वे परीक्षा के लिए गंभीरता से पढ़ाई नहीं कर रहे थे।
7. We had not been working on that project for long.
हम लंबे समय से उस प्रोजेक्ट पर काम नहीं कर रहे थे।
8. You had not been helping your friend for a week.
तुम एक हफ्ते से अपने दोस्त की मदद नहीं कर रहे थे।
9. It had not been snowing in that city since December.
उस शहर में दिसंबर से बर्फ़ नहीं गिर रही थी।
10. My sister had not been practicing dance for three days.
मेरी बहन तीन दिनों से डांस का अभ्यास नहीं कर रही थी।
Rule 9: Future Indefinite Tense -Negative Sentence
फॉर्मूला के द्वारा नकारात्मक वाक्यों को बनाना सीखते हैं।
Examples:
1. I will not go to market.
मैं बाज़ार नहीं जाऊँगा।
2. We shall not play cricket.
हम क्रिकेट नहीं खेलेंगे।
3. She will not wear this dress again.
वह यह ड्रेस दोबारा नहीं पहनेगी।
4. He will not forget your help.
वह तुम्हारी मदद नहीं भूलेगा।
5. They will not start the meeting on time.
वे मीटिंग समय पर शुरू नहीं करेंगे।
6. We shall not travel by train.
हम ट्रेन से यात्रा नहीं करेंगे।
7. You will not tell anyone about this secret.
तुम इस राज़ के बारे में किसी को नहीं बताओगे।
8. The students will not make noise in the class.
छात्र कक्षा में शोर नहीं करेंगे।
9. It will not snow in this city.
इस शहर में बर्फ़ नहीं गिरेगी।
10. My parents will not allow me to go alone.
मेरे माता-पिता मुझे अकेले जाने की अनुमति नहीं देंगे।
Rule 10 : Future Continuous Tense – Negative Sentence
उपयुक्त फॉर्मूला के द्वारा नकारात्मक वाक्यों को ध्यानपूर्वक पढ़ें और सीखें।
Examples:
1. She will not be coming tomorrow.
वह कल नहीं आ रही होगी।
2. They will not be working today.
वे आज काम नहीं कर रहे होंगे।
3. She will not be driving to office in the morning.
वह सुबह दफ़्तर कार से नहीं जा रही होगी।
4. He will not be studying for the exam at that time.
वह उस समय परीक्षा की तैयारी नहीं कर रहा होगा।
5. They will not be visiting their grandparents tomorrow.
वे कल अपने दादा-दादी से मिलने नहीं जा रहे होंगे।
6. We shall not be staying in this hotel.
हम इस होटल में नहीं ठहर रहे होंगे।
7. You will not be using my phone again.
तुम मेरा फ़ोन दोबारा इस्तेमाल नहीं कर रहे होगे।
8. It will not be snowing in December this year.
इस साल दिसंबर में बर्फ़ नहीं गिर रही होगी।
9. The company will not be launching a new product next month.
कंपनी अगले महीने नया उत्पाद लॉन्च नहीं कर रही होगी।
10. The students will not be preparing for the competition.
विद्यार्थी प्रतियोगिता की तैयारी नहीं कर रहे होंगे।
Rule 11: Future Perfect Tense – Negative Sentence
उपयुक्त फॉर्मूला के द्वारा नकारात्मक वाक्यों को ध्यानपूर्वक पढ़ें और सीखें।
Examples:
1. He will not have completed the work.
उसने काम पूरा नहीं किया होगा।
2. We shall not have reached there.
हम वहाँ नहीं पहुँचे होंगे।
3. She will not have cleaned the kitchen before lunch.
वह दोपहर के खाने से पहले रसोई साफ नहीं कर चुकी होगी।
4. He will not have repaired the car by tomorrow.
वह कल तक कार ठीक नहीं कर चुका होगा।
5. They will not have finished building the bridge by June.
वे जून तक पुल का निर्माण पूरा नहीं कर चुके होंगे।
6. We shall not have reached Mumbai by evening.
हम शाम तक मुंबई नहीं पहुँचे होंगे।
7. You will not have received the parcel by Monday.
तुम सोमवार तक पार्सल नहीं प्राप्त कर चुके होगे।
8. It will not have become dark by 6 o’clock.
6 बजे तक अंधेरा नहीं हुआ होगा।
9. The teacher will not have checked all the copies by then.
तब तक अध्यापक सारी कॉपियाँ जांच नहीं चुके होंगे।
10. My brother will not have joined the new company yet.
मेरा भाई अभी तक नई कंपनी में शामिल नहीं हुआ होगा।

Rule 12: Future Perfect Continuous Tense – Negative Sentence
उपयुक्त फॉर्मूला के द्वारा नकारात्मक वाक्यों को ध्यानपूर्वक पढ़ें और सीखें।

मैं एक घंटे से नहीं पढ़ रहा होऊँगा।

वे एक घंटे से बस का इंतज़ार नहीं कर रहे होंगे।
6. We shall not have been living in Delhi for long.
हम लंबे समय से दिल्ली में नहीं रह रहे होंगे।
7. You will not have been practicing the guitar for two months.
तुम दो महीनों से गिटार का अभ्यास नहीं कर रहे होगे।
8. It will not have been raining since yesterday evening.
कल शाम से बारिश नहीं हो रही होगी।
9. My parents will not have been traveling for many days.
मेरे माता-पिता कई दिनों से यात्रा नहीं कर रहे होंगे।
10. The workers will not have been building the bridge for a year.
मजदूर एक साल से पुल नहीं बना रहे होंगे।
