6th Day Learning English – 6th day Challenge
Today is our sixth day of learning English. In the previous lessons, we have learned the basic knowledge of English. Now, we are starting a new chapter on the sixth day.
आज हमारा अंग्रेजी सीखने का छटवां दिन है पिछले अध्यायों में हमने अंग्रेजी की बेसिक नॉलेज सीख ली है अब हम छठवें दिन से एक नई शुरुआत करते हैं-
We begin the sixth day with greetings. Today, we will learn how to greet people in everyday conversation. छठवें दिन की शुरुआत हम अभिवादन में करते हैं हमें बोल चाल में किस प्रकार अभिवादन करना चाहिए आज हम यहां सीखेंगे –
A child or any family member learns the most important things at home first. Similarly, we begin our learning journey at home. A list of the members of our family is given below. Read it carefully so that you can greet them properly. एक बच्चा या कोई भी सदस्य अपने घर से ही सबसे पहले सीखना है इसी प्रकार हम सबसे पहले शुरुआत घर से ही करते हैं हमारे घर में कौन-कौन से सदस्य होते हैं उसकी सूची नीचे दी गई है सभी को ध्यान पूर्वक पड़े तभी आप अभिवादन कर पाएंगे –
Family Members (घर के सदस्य)
1. Parents (माता – पिता)
Father -पिता / पापा
Mother - माता / माँ
2. GrandParents ( दादा – दादी / नाना नानी)
Grandfather – दादा / नाना
Grandmother – दादी / नानी
3. Siblings (भाई – बहन)
Brother - भाई
Sister – बहन
4. Children (बच्चे)
Son – बेटा
Daughter – बेटी
5. Uncle – Aunt (चाचा – चाची / मामा – मामी)
Uncle – चाचा / मामा
Aunt – चाची / मामी
6.Cousins (चचेरा / ममेरा भाई- बहन)
Cousin brother – चचेरा / ममेरा
Cousin Sister – चचेरी /ममरी बहन
7.In – Laws (ससुराल – पक्ष)
Father – in – law - ससुर
Mother – in – law - सास
Brother – in – law – देवर / जीजा
Sister – in – law – भाभी / ननद

When we meet or part ways with someone, the words we speak are called greetings.
अभी आपको सभी फैमिली मेंबर्स के नाम बता दिए गए हैंइसके बाद हमसभी से अभिवादन कैसे करें यह जानेंगे सबसे पहले अभिवादन किसे कहते हैं यहां जानते हैं
जब हम किसी व्यक्ति से मिलते हैं या विदा लेते हैं तो जो शब्द हम बोलते हैं उन्हें अभिवादन कहते हैं।
Morning Greetings (सुबह – 12 बजे तक)

When we say goodbye to someone, we greet them in this way.
जब हम किसी से विदा लेते हैं तो इस प्रकार अभिवादन करते हैं।
Notes
1. दादा–दादी, माता–पिता के नाम
• English में Grandfather को प्यार से Grandpa भी कहा जाता है।
• Grandmother को Grandma कहा जाता है।
• Father के लिए Dad या Daddy बोला जाता है।
• Mother के लिए Mom या Mummy शब्द भी प्रयोग होते हैं।

2. चाचा, ताऊ, मामा, फूफा आदि
हिन्दी में रिश्तों के नाम अलग-अलग होते हैं, लेकिन
English में सब पुरुष रिश्तों को एक ही शब्द से बोलते हैं।
• चाचा, ताऊ, मामा, मौसा, फूफा → Uncle
Example:
Good evening, Uncle.
शुभ संध्या, चाचाजी / मामा जी।
3. चाची, ताई, मामी, मौसी, बुआ आदि
English में सभी महिला रिश्तों के लिए एक ही शब्द होता है।
• चाची, ताई, मामी, मौसी, बुआ → Aunt / Aunty / Auntie

Hello, Aunty.
नमस्ते, चाचीजी।
4. आदर से बुलाने के शब्द
• किसी भी पुरुष को आदर से बोलना हो तो Sir कहा जाता है।
• किसी भी महिला को आदर से बोलना हो तो Madam कहा जाता है।
Example:
Good morning, Sir.
सुप्रभात, सर।
Thank you, Madam.
धन्यवाद, मैडम।
5. कज़िन (Cousin) का नियम
• English में चचेरा, ममेरा, फुफेरा, मौसेरा भाई या बहन
सबके लिए सिर्फ Cousin शब्द ही बोला जाता है।
• Cousin brother / Cousin sister कहना सही नहीं माना जाता।
Example:
My cousin lives with us.
मेरा कज़िन हमारे साथ रहता है।
6. Miss, Mrs और Ms का प्रयोग
• Miss → अविवाहित महिला के लिए
• Mrs → विवाहित महिला के लिए
• Ms → जब शादी की स्थिति पता न हो या बतानी न हो
Example:
Miss Riya – अविवाहित
Mrs Sharma – विवाहित
Ms Gupta – सामान्य रूप
Short Trick:
• Uncle = सभी पुरुष रिश्तेदार
• Aunt = सभी महिला रिश्तेदार
• Cousin = सभी चचेरे/ममेरे भाई-बहन
• Sir / Madam = आदर दिखाने के लिए
In this way, greetings are exchanged with everyone. We should know how to greet people in this manner wherever we go. It is important to remember what kind of greetings to use in the morning, afternoon, evening, and night, both when meeting and when saying goodbye.
इस प्रकार सभी के लिए अभिवादन किया जाता है इन सभी अभिवादन से हम कहीं भी किसी भी जगह पर जाएंगे तो इसी प्रकार अभिवादन करना आना चाहिए यह याद रखना जरूरी है कि सुबह, दोपहर, शाम, रात, विदा लेते समय, मिलते समय किस प्रकार का अभिवादन करना चाहिए।
